Each woman in our temple has something unique to offer. Through Sisterhood, these talents combine for the greater good of the entire congregation.
Sisterhood is a community of women of various ages, backgrounds, and interests who gather together throughout the year to support each other as well as our synagogue. We are women from all walks of life and in all stages of life who come together to make friends and have fun while making a difference in our homes, our congregation, and our community.
The Sisterhood Board meets each month to discuss issues and make decisions regarding organization activities. Membership dues are $36 per year. New Temple members receive a free membership in Sisterhood during their first year.

A full calendar of events is planned each year to satisfy a variety of interests. Activities include intellectual and social programs as well as fund-raising projects and field trips.
There are a wide variety of opportunities for participation in activities from baking for a Oneg Shabbat to serving on the Board. Sisterhood supports Temple’s Early Childhood Learning Center, Temple-wide fundraising activities, Chanukah carnival, tasty latkes, hamentaschen baking for Purim, mah-jongg tournaments, co-sponsorship of events with the Brotherhood, mitzvah corp, bus trips, theater events and other fun and interesting programs.
In June, a beautiful Donor event is held to express thanks to those members who have served Sisterhood throughout the year.
The Mitzvah Corp is dedicated to supporting member families during a time of bereavement. Assistance with the meal of condolence and the first shiva minyan is provided as desired.
The Sisterhood Judaica Gift Shop has many beautiful items for young and old, family and friends, home and office. The gift shop offers seasonal items as well as essentials for Bar and Bat Mitzvah, beautiful tallit, kippot, mezuzahs, gifts for bride and groom, celebratory invitations and much more. Sisterhood members receive donor credit for a portion of purchases made in the gift shop.
Sisterhood membership forms an extended family that celebrates joy, shares sorrow and provides support whenever the need arises.
