High Holidays Schedule 5782 ~ 2021

Holidays at Beth David are creative, joyful, and very meaningful.  Our High Holy Days are very moving because of the talent of our choir, Cantor, and musicians.  No other synagogue our size offers such exceptional music.  Rabbi always offers insightful sermons making Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur inspirational.

For Sukkot, we enjoy eating, drinking, and studying in a one of kind of succah modeled after the architecture of our roof.  Simchat Torah features live music and dancing.  Our celebration climaxes when we unfurl one Torah in its entirety around the social hall as we read the end of Deuteronomy and begin once again with the creation of our world.

For Hanukkah, we always have a festive dinner and musical celebration service featuring both our adult and junior choirs, a Tot Shabbat for our preschoolers, and latkes to be enjoyed by all.

Purim is truly exceptional with creative shpiels (plays) involving people of all ages and musicians.  There is lots of laughter and joy in celebrating our survival in Persia years ago.  For Passover, we always have a wonderful turnout for our congregational seder.  We commemorate the Holocaust with our Yom Hashoa service that features beautiful music and involvement of survivors and their families.  Finally, Shavuot is celebrated with our tenth graders or with a creative program on the significance of Torah.

At Beth David, we have so much to celebrate throughout the year.  We hope you will join us.
