Meet Education Director Elliot Fein MAJE, RJE

Elliot Fein’s rich experience as a Jewish high school teacher, writer, and education director are a wonderful complement to Temple Beth David’s strong tradition of leadership in life-long Jewish family education.

Elliot received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jewish Studies from the Universityof Judaismand a Master of Arts in Jewish Education from HUC-JIR in Los Angeles.

Prior to taking the helm at Temple Beth David, Elliot was a teacher at Tarbut V’Torah High School in Irvine. He has served as Director of Education at three Southern California synagogues. He has also been President of the Jewish Educators Association of Orange County and has served on the board of the Bureau of Jewish Education.

An author of nearly 100 essays and articles on Judaism, Jewish education, and contemporary Jewish life, Elliot’s writings have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the Jewish Journals of Los Angeles and Orange County, the Orange County Register, Orange County Jewish Life, and other notable publications.

Elliot lives in South OrangeCountywith his wife Eve and sons Aryeh and Perry.
