Dear Temple Members,
We value your membership in the Temple Beth David family and look forward to once again providing you with interesting, exciting, and inspiring programs, stimulating speakers, beautiful music and life long education. Rabbi Myers, our staff and temple board work to keep us a vibrant Jewish congregation and to meet the needs of our temple family with inspiring worship and comfort in time of need.
We encourage you to get involved and to take full advantage of our wide range of programs such as:
- Our very special Synaplex Shabbats that offer something for everyone.
- Participatory and engaging holiday observances and celebrations.
- Adult Education offering opportunities for Jewish growth in the creative study of history, text and tradition.
- Youth programming which continues to expand to meet their needs.
- Musical Sabbath celebrations with our choir, Shabbat Alive! and special musical events.
Consider joining our Brotherhood and Sisterhood who continue to offer opportunities for your involvement in their special and unique programs and in service to the temple.
Below is your 2011/2012 membership dues worksheet which has been streamlined. The Board and staff continue to work hard to control costs and meet the budget requirements. Our membership dues reflect the impact of inflation on operations and programs. On the attached worksheet, please note that under “Commitment Level” you have an opportunity to participate in the “Circle of Honor”. These are additional levels of membership dues participation. The levels available are Bronze and Silver and are defined below:
- Bronze Circle of Honor Members will receive complimentary admission for two to all Temple Special Events, including dinners, parties, and the Passover Seder. Brotherhood and Sisterhood events are not included.
- Silver Circle of Honor Members receive the Bronze level privileges plus reserved High Holy Days seating and reserved parking for one vehicle.
There are several payment options. You can have the convenience of paying directly from your bank account through ACH (Automated Clearing House) by completing the appropriate enclosed form, which is preferred, or paying by check or credit card. If you must pay by credit card, please understand that the Temple absorbs approximately $8,000 annually in credit card fees, which if we can reduce or eliminate would significantly reduce our deficit. You may choose to pay annually, semi-annually, quarterly or monthly. Also note that we are including an ARZA membership form to encourage support of the Reform Movement in Israel.
